Package Summary
You will be met on time of your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport by our transferring driver who will you will welcome and escort you to the waiting vehicle then drive to The Hotel in Moshi for the rest of the day your trek will start the next day morning. The rest of the day will be spent at the pool relaxing at the hotel or explore the town of Moshi. Your mountain guide will meet you in the evening for briefing on the next morning trek.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1- 2023 Rongai Gate (2000m/6,561.68ft) to First Camp Simba camp(2,625m/8612.205ft) Elevation Gain: 625meters, 2050.52 feet After an early breakfast in Moshi, drive to marangu gate for get the permit then drive to Rongai Gate near the Kenya border. After registering at the gate, begin your climb to Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa. During the first day, hike through forests where you may see and hear wildlife. Eat lunch on the trail before continuing to the first campsite. Rongai ascends via the less forested northern side of the mountain. The Rongai Route is one of the least crowded routes on Kilimanjaro because of the long drive to the gate.

Day 3 Morning Mawenzi turn hut
Kikelewa Camp (3,630m/11,909.45ft) to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,310m/14,140.42ft) Elevation Gain: 680 meters, 2230.97 feet This day is an acclimatization day, allowing you to hike in the beginning of the day and rest in the afternoon and evening. The hike is relatively short but steep. The Mawenzi Tarn campsite is situated below Mawenzi Peak and offers stunning views of both Mawenzi and Kibo.
